Pork bone thick
the broth have soft texture and easy to consume. however, the noodle texture is soft and chewy and just not to my liking.
One of the heaviest ramens I tried. It is thick and tasty. Be prepared for the smell on the store though, it is a strong smell like pork broth. Take a ticket from the machine before stay on the line ( it exploded with people
Best ramen in fukuoka!
My favorite ramen of all time. Worth the wait. I recommend adding some fresh garlic to it.
Amazing ramen and atmosphere. Worth the trip to fukuoka for sure
I got the ramen + rice on the side for 700 yen. It was delicious! The broth tastes like mushroom soup which went well with the rice after you finished your noodles. I felt the noodles didn't really mesh well with the broth, but it was still delicious!
Yum Yum 😋 Good taste ramen. There is spicy vegetable like Kimchi to eat with ramen. I really like it.
Yosh!! Arrived there Sunday morning at 10:40 there was already about 20 people in line. At 11am they opened about 40 plus in line behind us..At 11:25 we were seated and started to eat.Took there most expensive dish (¥1050 only) it was delicious 😋Hope this helps you.!
They didn't understand my order. I wanted noodles, they gave me rice. I ordered again and planned to take home the rice meal for my daughter to eat but later they said i cant take home anything. Very thick broth. Delicious. Clean. Fast. Good.
The thin noodles are so characteristic of Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen and here is the same. The rich pork bone broth earns its deep and delicious flavor. I can eat at least three bowls.
The broth is thick and has full depth of flavour. It's also foamy and has a bit of powderish texture. Not too bad but it's too salty to my palate. Queue is long regardless of time of the day but it moved fast, so do t worry a about the long queue, you ll get your ramen in no time.
Ordered ajitama ramen, unique soup broth! Will save the place and come again. Long queue expected even near closing hours, travellers please plan ahead!
This place was incredible, even though the smell was a bit strong, Ii didn't want to take a shower and I had to hold my inners to not lick myself after.
We stayed for several nights in Hakata and had many bowls of ramen, but this is the best tonkotsu ramen we've ever had.
The longest I've had to wait at a ramen place in Japan lol. We went because it was near where we stayed and it had high ratings on Google, but I overheard some kid talking about how this place is really popular even among local. Personally the broth is a bit too thick for me and it kind of took me by surprise how thick it was upon the first sip, it almost had a jelly texture to it, but the noodles were awesome!
Delicious ramen with reasonable price and portion! Waited for a bit becasus there will be line since it’s quite popular. Recommended to try!
Hakata Issou was a place recommended to me, and it didn't disappoint. Firm and thin noodles retaining its texture soaked in a deep and flavourful pork bone soup which manages to stay quite light. Chashu similarly doesn't soak in much soup and keeps some meaty pork juices which cut through the pork bone soup's savouriness. A really splendid tonkotsu ramen for all. The atmosphere is also quite cool with a small wooden and minimalist interior surrounded by Japanese wagakki instrumentals playing on speakers.
It was worth the 1 hour 15 min wait in line. We got there at 11 when they opened and there were about 75 people in front of us. Then everyone took turns getting meal tickets, the machine is all in Japanese. I got the one on the top far right for pork, with egg it was the works for about ¥980. Also if you want to drink beer or Hi-ball you have to get a ticket at this machine too. Those choices where on the bottom left hand corner. I smashed some garlic in my ramen it was soooo good. They have all of the condiments at the table. The broth was rich and the noodles were thinner but a perfect texture. I got them medium texture. Only thing I would do differently next time is line up earlier.
Top notch ramen best I've had in years small and there's a wait but good grief It's sooooo good.
It was definitely not the best tonkotsu ramen that I have tried in Japan. There are way better ramen than this and I don’t think it is worth the wait (waited for almost 40min around 4:00pm on a Sunday). The soup was too oily for me and I think it was not hot enough. But it tastes pretty good.
One of the finest examples of Hakata style Ramen. Thick tonkotsu broth boiled to ultra thickness accompanied with slices of pork and springy straight noodles. Extremely filling and heavy but uber delicious. Go early or very late to avoid waiting. At most 20 seats in this joint.
This broth has a richer, more complex flavor compared to Shin Shin’s thinner broth. This one is thick and almost creamy in texture. The noodles are firm. I prefer the egg to be cut in half but this one is just a full egg. The pork is fattier as well and you can tell it’s high quality pork. The place is very small and you will probably have to wait regardless of time of day, rain or shine. The service was ok. You order first at the machine and pay, then they will call you inside when it’s your turn. No English menu!
